Cleric Charges Christians To Live In God’s Presence

BY JUDITH OBIANUA

THE Spiritual Director, Lumen Christi Adoration Ministry, Maryland, Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State, the Rev. Father David Mario Dibie has charged Christians to remain in the presence of God and obtain his blessings this year 2026.

He made the remarks during the Issele-Uku Diocesan programme of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria (CCRN), held at the Lumen Christi Retreat and Camp Ground, Issele-Uku, weekend.

Rev. Dibie said that some worshippers were waiting for the manifestation of God’s blessings while others were already enjoying it, noting that only those who remained in his presence will enjoy the blessings of God.

According to him, most worshipers do not achieve success due to lack of knowledge drawing insight from the book of Hosea: 4v6, urging them to change their prayers points and seek direction from God.

He further charged the faithful to abstain from tel l ing l ies because i t hinders progress. “If you must prosper stop telling lies. It hinders one from prospering. Why some of you pray year to year and still remain the same is due to the fact that you tell lies a lot and the seeds of a liar can cause affliction, as a child of God you must live a truthful live that leads to success”. He added

“Change your ways today and stand for the truth. You cannot be living in the dark, enemity with one another and expect God to bless you, Jesus is the way, the truth and the light. You cannot be living in the dark and profess Jesus”, he said

Father Mario urged them to fortify themselves by praying always, studying the word of God, developing a habit of devotion with God, feeding the soul with moral integrity, maintaining an attitude of humility and abstaining from liars.

The highlights of the program was, praise and worship, by the Diocesan Praise and Worship Ministry, intercessory Prayers by the Diocesan Intercessory Ministry Leader, Brother Felix Okolie, Holy Mass and Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
