THE State Working Committee, Board of Trustees, and the 25 Local Government Coordinators of the Association of Past Elected Councillors in Delta State under the leadership of Hon Clement Olojoba, have called on all Deltans to lend their support to the state’s immediate past governor, Sen (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, in his new role as South-South Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The appeal was contained in a statement released to newsmen over the weekend by the Secretary of the Association, Hon. Shadrack Opiah.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu recently appointed Sen Okowa to coordinate the Renewed Hope Agenda across the South-South region.
Also, recall that Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa is the Grand Patron of the Association.
The Association, in the statement, expressed full confidence in his (Okowa’s) capacity to advance the agenda of the federal government across the region.
“The Association does not doubt his ability and the wealth of political experience required to drive this laudable initiative of Mr President in the entire South-South,” the statement said. “We wish him wisdom and strength as he leads this crucial mission.”
