A political aspirant, Hon Kelvin Nwabueze, has formally declared his intention to contest a seat in the Delta State House of Assembly, pledging effective and people-oriented representation for Oshimili South Constituency.
Nwabueze made the declaration during a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Engr. (Dr.) Eze Osita of Oko Kingdom, where he sought royal blessings and traditional endorsement ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Speaking during the meeting, Nwabueze said his decision to join the race was driven by a strong commitment to bridging the gap between the people and governance through responsive leadership and inclusive policies.
“I am stepping forward to serve the good people of Oshimili South. I am confident that, if elected into the House of Assembly, I will provide quality representation and ensure that the voices of our people are heard,” he said.
At the event, the monarch expressed confidence in the aspirant’s capacity to deliver quality representation, offering prayers for a successful political journey.
He noted that Nwabueze possesses the character and competence required to represent the constituency effectively.
He also commended the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his efforts in youth empowerment, inclusive governance, and infrastructural development across the state.
In a similar vein, former Council Chancellor, Pst. (Barr.) Greatman Chukwuka, described Nwabueze as a tested and capable leader, expressing optimism that his candidacy enjoys wide-spread community support.
Also speaking, Rev. Engr. Francis Olumenu praised Nwabueze as a widely respected and diligent leader who has consistently demonstrated commitment to the growth and development of his community. He noted that the aspirant’s track record in grassroots engagement underscores his readiness for higher responsibility.
Rev. Olumenu further expressed confidence in Nwabueze’s ability to deliver meaningful representation, emphasising that his vision, experience, and dedication make him a credible voice for the people.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Nkem Nwabueze, wife of the aspirant, expressed unwavering support for her husband’s ambition, affirming that he possesses the qualities of a true leader and is well-positioned to deliver effective representation at the State House of Assembly.
