THE Chairman of Ika North East Local Government, Hon. Monday Odigwe has asserted that the MORE AGENDA promised Deltans by the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, can be seen, felt and touched.
The local government boss made this known during the commissioning of multiple projects built by the Delta State Government at the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Owa-Alero Campus.
Speaking further at the ceremony, the Chairman while pouring encomium on the Governor, stated that his love for Ika nation remained unquantified.
According to him, “Your Excellency Sir, it is exactly 31 days since you performed the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of flyover bridge at Uromi Junction, Agbor. The project is not just an Ika South Local Government project but a project for Ika Federal Constituency, and today again you are at the University of Delta Owa Alero campus to commission another critical project the same way you have done in all parts of Delta State, this is a proof your vision, strength, resilience and firm-resolve to bring radical development to Delta State”.
Speaking before inaugurating the School of Management and Social Sciences Complex, the Engineering Lecture, Library, Workshops and the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Governor Oborevwori declared that his administration was committed to ensuring that the MORE AGENDA mantra impacts greatly on the education sector of the state.
Commending the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, for his foresight, Governor Oborevwori called on the University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Stella Chiemeke and the Governing Board of the institution to put the facilities so provided to good use for the interest of all Deltans and Nigerians in general.
