DELTA State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme has disclosed that the influx of investors and visitors to Delta State is attributed to the hospitable nature of its people.
Sir Onyeme made the disclosure known, today, in Asaba when he received on courtesy call the President and members of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).
According to Sir Onyeme, Deltans are hospitable people, and the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, through the effective delivery of the MORE Agenda, has made the state a haven for those with genuine intentions.
The Deputy Governor commended ANAN for choosing Asaba as the venue for the 2026 Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme, asserting that the training and retraining of professionals keeps them abreast of recent developments in their fields.
According to him; ”Delta is known for its hospitality and, as a government, we are committed to making the state more comfortable for tourists and people who intend to do genuine business,”.
He urged members of ANAN to always uphold the ethics of the accounting profession and wished them a pleasant stay in Delta State.
Earlier in her remarks, the President and Chairman of Council of ANAN, Hajia Zuwairat Kishimi, had commended the Delta State government for making Asaba conducive for their lecture.
”The administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has provided a conducive environment in Delta State,” she stated.
