The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has officially decamped from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Governor made this known on today during a broadcast to the people of the state.
He announced that his decision to defect was not taken alone, as members of his cabinet and other key officials of the Peoples Democratic Party in Adamawa State also moved with him to the APC.
Fintiri explained that the move was based on what he described as the need to advance the growth and progress of Adamawa State.
