‘You Are A Blessing To Us’, DESOPADEC Staff Celebrates Okorodudu At 62

Staff of the Directorate of Projects in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) Ttoday held a surprise birthday celebration in honour of the Executive Director, Projects, Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, describing him as a good boss, visionary leader, mentor, and a blessing to the commission.

The event, held in the office of the Directorate of Projects, brought together management staff, staff of the directorate, and well-wishers who gathered to honour the celebrant and share in the joyful occasion.

The atmosphere was filled with warmth and admiration as staff members took turns to express their gratitude for his leadership and guidance over the years.
Speaking on behalf of the staff, the Head of Department, Housing, Qs. William Oyimi, commended Dr. Okorodudu for being a good boss, noting that under his leadership, the directorate has recorded significant achievements.

Also, the Executive Assistant to the EDP, Engr. Tony Okuwe, celebrated Dr. Okorodudu, describing him as a boss, friend, and mentor.
“Sir, you are more than a boss to us—you are a mentor, a friend, and truly a blessing to this Directorate. Your wisdom and support have shaped many careers and inspired us to give our best,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the confidential secretaries of DESOPADEC, Mrs. Ochuko Asoro congratulated Dr. Okorodudu, describing him as an exceptional boss and a responsible leader. They thanked God for his life and prayed for God’s blessings and prosperity.

Other staff members highlighted his open-door policy, humility, and willingness to listen, describing him as a leader who values teamwork and encourages innovation. They also praised his ability to maintain professionalism while fostering a friendly and supportive work environment.

In his response, Dr. Okorodudu expressed appreciation to members of staff for the honour, stressing that the welfare and happiness of workers must remain a top priority for any administrator.

Dr. Okorodudu further described himself as a person of integrity and grace, committed to supporting others at all times, while expressing deep gratitude to God for life and daily experiences.

He emphasized the importance of contentment and thanksgiving, noting that appreciation to God in all circumstances is key to a fulfilled and meaningful life.

The event featured the presentation of gifts on behalf of Pointer Newspaper, staff of the Directorate, and well-wishers, the cutting of the birthday cake, and group photographs to commemorate the occasion.
