IN a bid to boost food security and promote homestead farming in Delta State, the Head of Service, Delta State, Dr. Mininim Oseji, has distributed tomato and pepper seedlings to Permanent Secretaries in the Office of the Head of Service, Directorate of Establishment and Pension, and Cabinet, along with their staff.
This initiative aims to encourage civil servants to engage in agricultural activities, thereby supplementing their income and contributing to the state’s food production. The distribution of seedlings is part of the state’s efforts to promote self-sufficiency and sustainability in food production.
Dr. Oseji’s initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the state’s civil service, promoting a culture of self-reliance and food security among employees.
