THE Chairman, Delta State Post Primary Education Board (PPEB), Professor Emmanuel Tibi has attributed the victory of Delta public secondary school students that represented the country at the World Debate Competition held in Doha, Qatar where they emerged champions, to the unwavering efforts of the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s investment in the State’s education sector.
Professor Tibi, who stated this in his office in Asaba while speaking with journalists, said that the achievements recorded by students was a testament of the Governor’s commitment towards the growth of the secondary education system through the MORE Agenda of his administration.
He lauded the students for giving outstanding account of themselves on the world stage and for being brilliant ambassadors of Delta State.

He said that the Governor had continued to demonstrate his love for the education sector, assuring that his administration was committed to doing more for the state.
Professor Tibi also appreciated the State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu and the various school heads as well as teachers for their unwavering efforts in driving the education sector to greater heights, just as he urged teachers in the State to sustain the tempo of the drive towards excellence in secondary education.
While urging the beneficiaries of the ongoing capacity building workshop being organized by the Board in the senatorial districts for top management staff of the Post Primary Education Board and principals in particular, Professor Tibi thanked the Governor for graciously approving the training programme.
The Chairman told the beneficiaries to ensure that they impacted on their jobs with the knowledge and skills gained, stressing that they should reciprocate the Governor’s gesture by ensuring that they contribute meaningfully towards the upliftment of the education system in the state.
