Delta NYSC Advocates Gender Equality In Schools

BY HOPE OLUWADAMITAN

THE Delta State NYSC has intensified its advocacy for gender equality through a series of outreach programmes across schools in the state. The initiative, spearheaded by the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Community Development Group, aims to promote awareness and eliminate gender-based discrimination among students.

The outreach sessions engaged students in interactive discussions about the importance of equal opportunities, respect, and breaking stereotypes.

Visits to Blessed City Light International School and Bellissima Boulevard School focused on sensitising students about the importance of equality and empowering women and girls.

At Blessed City Light International School, students participated in interactive discussions on eliminating gender-based discrimination and fostering equity and respect. The students enthusiastically shared their ideas on building a more inclusive society.

Similarly, at Bellissima Boulevard School, the group emphasised the role of education in breaking barriers to equality. They discussed how empowering boys and girls contributes to creating balanced and thriving communities.
