The Executive Director of Projects, in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, led staff and associates in celebrating his Personal Assistant, Barrister Ovoke Mrakpor on the occasion of her birth anniversary.
The brief but colorful event, held today Monday February 15 at the Directorate of Projects drew colleagues and well-wishers who gathered to honor Miss Ovoke for her dedication and professionalism.
Speaking during the celebration, Dr. Okorodudu described his aide as “a dependable and resourceful professional” who is committed to duties.
“Today, we celebrate not just your birth anniversary but your unwavering dedication, diligence, punctuality, and excellence in service,” he said. “Your organizational skills and proficiency in information technology continue to contribute immensely to the success of our projects.”
He urged her to remain steadfast and committed to personal growth, adding that greater opportunities lie ahead for those who combine diligence with integrity.
In her response, Miss Ovoke expressed gratitude to the executive director, heads of departments, and members of staff for the surprise gesture. She thanked Okorodudu for what she described as a father and support.
“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve and to grow under your leadership,” she said. “This celebration means a lot to me, and I do not take the encouragement and trust for granted.”
Staff members took turns to commend her hard work, focus, and ability to manage administrative responsibilities effectively.
The celebration featured the presentation of a birthday cake, goodwill messages, and prayer underscoring what Dr. Okorodudu described as a culture of appreciation and unity within the office.
