THE Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has expressed gratitude to Gabriel Ogbechie, the Chief Executive Officer, Rainoil for his friendship to the state and to his family.
Oborevwori gave the commendation on the occasion of the 60th birthday celebration of the wife of the Rainoil Chief
Executive Officer, Godrey Ogbechie which was recently held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.
The Governor who was represented at the event by the Secretary to the Delta State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, applauded the couple for what he described as the ‘grand’ role they play in Nigeria and Delta State in particular. Speaking to the uniqueness of the celebrant’s name, the Governor disclosed that he had previously researched and found it to mean “peace”.
Oborevwori prayed for God’s peace on the celebrant, asking that the peace that had seen her up till age 60 will see her through the rest of her life. He wished her a clean crossover into her new year without any negative carry over, while extending the pleasant wishes of the State to her. Mrs. Ogbechie, Group Executive Director, Rainoil Limited, who climbed the corporate ladder with over three decades of experience, expressed her gratitude to the Almighty God for being mindful of her. She reiterated God’s faithfulness to her in strengthening and giving her wisdom to put on all her caps effectively.
She also expressed gratitude to the Governor and good people of Delta State for their support, encouragement and goodwill towards her family.
The climax of event was the cutting of the cake amidst the cheers of friends and well-wishers who graced the occasion.
