Oborevwori Commissions Hotel, Says Delta Is Safe For Business

THE Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing a peaceful and business-friendly environment in the state, declaring that Delta is safe and attractive for investment.

The Governor made this remark, yesterday, during the commissioning of Frank N Hotel in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, where he expressed satisfaction with the economic activities and infrastructural development across the twin cities of Warri and Effurun.

Speaking at the event, Oborevwori, who was represented by the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor noted that the increasing number of newly commissioned hotels and businesses across Warri, Effurun and their environs was a clear indication that peace has returned to the area and that investors now have confidence in the state’s economy.

He said that unlike in the past when festive periods were sometimes characterised by tension and insecurity, the recent Christmas season was marked by calm and stability across Warri, Effurun, Ekpan and neighbouring communities, adding that this was a direct result of Governor Oborevwori administration’s firm commitment to security, accountability, and inclusive governance.

The Governor also highlighted the ongoing construction of bridges and other critical infrastructure across Delta State as part of his “MORE Agenda”, stressing that Deltans were already beginning to enjoy the dividends of democracy promised by his administration.

Commending the management of Frank N Hotel, Oborevwori described the facility as a welcome addition to the hospitality sector, assuring that it would provide comfort, quality service and employment opportunities for residents, while also contributing to the economic growth of the area.

He used the occasion to call on businessmen and women across the country and beyond to invest in Warri, Effurun and other parts of Delta State, assuring them of ease of doing business and a conducive atmosphere for sustainable investment.

The Governor further appealed to residents to continue supporting and praying for his administration, describing the peace and development being witnessed as a collective achievement that would position Delta State as a leading destination for business, tourism and development.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Manager of the Hotel, Mr Frankie Obruche said the hotel is equipped with modern facilities and luxury accommodation designed to deliver world class hospitality services.

He disclosed that the hotel would boost the economy of the state through job creation and improved business opportunities for local suppliers and service providers.
