Amid the celebration of Armed Forces Remembrance Day, cultists killed a motorcycle ticket seller in Ughelli North.
The incident, which took place in Osadjere street and Iwhrekpokpo witnessed the deceased being shot and finally stabbed to death by his killers.
According to a motorcylist who spoke with our reporter, the killers came to the scene with motorcycle and zoomed off after their attack, leaving the residents in fear.
Reacting, the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Jaro Egbo expressed pain over the inhumanity and vowed to ensure that the killers face the wrath of the law.
“You cannot kill someone and expect reconciliation as if nothing happened. Those responsible must face the full wrath of the law,” he declared.
He warned that his government would collaborate fully with security agencies to “crush” cultism, kidnapping, and violent crime in the area.
