THE wife of the Permanent Secretary of the Delta State Ministry of Justice, Omamuzo Erebe SAN and Chief Executive Officer of Kidessence Kiddies Mall, Asaba, Mrs Eloviano Erebe, yesterday, marked her 50th birthday alongside the launch of her new book, ‘I Had A Vision Of Love’.
The well-attended event, held in Asaba, drew family members, friends, colleagues, government officials, clergy and well-wishers from across the state.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the occasion and Chief Launcher of the book, Mr John Omomuwho, described Mrs. Erebe as a woman of depth, discipline and proven character, noting that he had known her for over a decade.
According to him, the book is not a product of borrowed ideas or online content, but a reflection of lived experience. “The words in this book are not from the internet; they are from her lived experience of a healthy marriage,” Omomuwho said, as he congratulated the celebrant on her golden jubilee and literary contribution.
Reviewing the book, Pastor Felicia Omatsola commended ‘I Had a Vision of Love’ for its practical and faith-based approach to marriage, describing it as timely in an era of rising marital instability.
Reading excerpts from the book, Pastor Omatsola stressed the importance of intentionality, patience and shared values in sustaining marriage. She particularly charged couples to be discerning in the kind of counsel they receive.
“Couples must avoid false counsel. They should listen to men and women of God and people who share their values, not voices that glorify dysfunction,” she said.
Speaking with The Pointer, Mrs Erebe said the celebration was a moment of gratitude and reflection on life’s victories.
“I’m celebrating my golden jubilee, 50 years. One of my biggest wins this year is authoring another book. When I was 40, I wrote a book; today, at 50, I have written another. That is a win,” she said.
She added that her stable marriage, growing business, and family well-being were major highlights of her journey.
“My marriage has not gone south, that’s a win. My business has prospered; we moved to a bigger space, which is a win. My children are growing, nobody is dead, nobody is dying, that’s a win. My husband is alive, progressing in his career, and was made a Senior Advocate of Nigeria this year; that’s a win,” she said.
Mrs Erebe expressed optimism that the book would positively influence marriages and homes, saying she hopes it will “speak to hearts, restore hope, and guide couples toward lasting love.”
The high point of the event was the formal unveiling of the book, the cutting of the birthday cake, praise and worship sessions from notable gospel artistes and goodwill messages from guests.
