Oborevwori ’ll Do More For Deltans —Erijo

DELTANS have been assured that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will not take all the kind sentiments being showered on him for granted.

The Chief of Staff, Delta State Government House, Hon. Johnson Erijo, gave the assurance when a delegation of the Nigeria Union of Mine Workers paid him a courtesy visit.

Erijo noted that the outpouring of kind compliments from individuals and organizations, including the Mine Workers’ Union, had become a source of inspiration and morale booster to the Governor, who had vowed to advance Delta beyond imagination.

He explained that the MORE Agenda was carefully designed to capture all sectors of the state, adding that so far Meaningful Development, Opportunities for all, Realistic Reforms and Enhanced Peace and Security have been taken to the next level to the admiration of all Deltans.

The chief of staff thanked the delegation for the visit and urged them not to hesitate to draw the attention of government to any issue that could lead to a breakdown of law and order in their work places.

Hon. Erijo emphasized that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori would remain a labour-friendly leader in appreciation of the industrial harmony that had characterized his administration and urged the Mine Workers to always adopt dialogue as the right approach to resolving labour -related issues.

Earlier in an address, the leader of the delegation and State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Mine Workers (Heavy Equipment Operators Section), Comrade Michael Aregbor, said the visit was to appreciate the state government for the impressive implementation of the MORE Agenda over the past two years.

Aregbor expressed happiness with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s remarkable infrastructural development drive across the three senatorial districts, especially the construction of roads and bridges which provided job opportunities for heavy equipment operators, and pledged continued support of the union for the Oborevwori administration.
