Parents across Delta State have expressed satisfaction with the recent placement examination conducted for prospective students seeking admission into secondary schools. The examination, which took place simultaneously across various centres in the state, was widely described as peaceful and well-organised, drawing commendation from parents and education stakeholders alike.
Among the schools monitored were Government Model Secondary School, West End Mixed Secondary School, Anglican Girls’ School (AGGS) Asaba, and Okpanam High School, Okpanam.
Speaking with our correspondent, a parent, Mrs Isioma Chika, praised the coordination of the process, revealing that candidates arrived punctually and that officials ensured the examination began without disruption.
“We are very pleased with how the examination was conducted. There was orderliness at the centre, and everything went according to schedule. It shows the government is committed to improving the education sector,” she said.
Another parent, simply identified as Mrs Esther, noted that although the examination, scheduled for 9:40 a.m., commenced at 10:15 a.m., the process remained peaceful and well-managed. She also commended the conduct of both the pupils and the supervising officials.
Efforts by our correspondent to reach the Delta State Commissioner for Primary Education, Dr Kingsley Ashibogwu for comments on the exercise were unsuccessful, as calls and text messages to his phone went unanswered at the time of filing this report.
