Corper Of The Week

NAME: Nwachi Scholastica Purity

STATE OF ORIGIN: Abia

INSTITUTION: Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State

COURSE STUDIED: Library and Information Science

PLACE OF PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT (PPA): West End Mixed Secondary School, Asaba

CAMP EXPERIENCE: Unfortunately an unpleasant experience as I struggled with early morning drills and rigorous training schedule. Yet it helped me build resilience.

OPINION ABOUT PLACE OF PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT: There are challenges not ideal, which affects my overall experience.

WHAT NYSC HAS TAUGHT ME: To adapt to new environments, people, and challenges.

BEST EXPERIENCE: Meeting amazing people. I loved the energy and excitement, from camp activities (eg. drilling) to the social events.

WORST EXPERIENCE: Waking up at 2am to bathe. Also, rushing to the parade in the cold at 5am.

OPINION ABOUT DELTA: A land of opportunities.

ADVICE TO FELLOW CORPS MEMBERS: Brace up. I know many of us are yet to find our footing, but we can yet adapt because we are here already. Stay focused and build meaningful relationships.
