VIDEO: Three Armed Kidnappers Killed In Delta

Troops of the 63 Brigade, on Saturday engaged kidnappers in a fierce gun battle, killing three armed suspects in Otulu, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The operation followed the abduction of a driver, Mr. Igiri Samuel, and his female passenger, Miss Mercy Iteshi, behind the Oshimili North Local Government Headquarters in Akwukwu-Igbo on Friday.

According to rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, who shared details of the incident on his Facebook page, the kidnappers were trailed from Atuma-Iga to Otulu by soldiers acting on intelligence from Seth Integrated Farms and the Delta State Government House Tracker.

During the confrontation, troops neutralized three of the suspects and recovered ₦2.4 million in cash, an AK-47 rifle, 52 rounds of live ammunition, mobile phones, and other valuables.

However, a female victim and a soldier sustained injuries in the crossfire and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

Mr. Gwamnishu commended the Delta State Government for its consistent support of security operations, while also praising the collaboration of the Otulu Vigilante Group, the Safe City Volunteer Foundation, and the gallant officers of 63 Brigade, Asaba.

Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to security agencies to ensure a safer Delta State.
