THE Vice-Chancellor, Africa University, Toru-Orua, Bayelsa State, Professor Solomon Ebobrah, has commended the people of Akugbene Community in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, for the high value they place on education, describing the warm reception accorded him as both humbling and a call to greater responsibility.
Professor Ebobrah made the remarks shortly after a reception ceremony was organized in his honour at Akugbene Community following his appointment as Vice-Chancellor of the University.
He expressed gratitude to the community and its leadership for the recognition and encouragement, noting that prioritizing education remained the most effective means of improving the lives and well-being of the people, as well as accelerating community development.
