PUBLICISING the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, yesterday, gained momentum following the alliance between the Delta Printing and Publishing Corporation (DPPC) and the Integrity Group of Nigeria (IGN).
The partnership was cemented when the Integrity Group of Nigeria, led by its National Convener, Dr Oke Idawene, visited the Chairman of DPPC and publishers of The Pointer Newspapers, Pastor Austine Igbine in Asaba.
Receiving the group, Pastor Igbine, commended them for supporting the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration to ensure dividends of good governance to all Deltans.
Igbine remarked that Governor Oborevwori has performed credibly well, exceeded expectations in his first two years in office and has remained committed to his mandate.
He reiterated the mandate of The Pointer Newspapers to disseminate the achievements and activities of the state government, even as he pledged his support to the Integrity Group in the propagation of the MORE Agenda.
Reacting to the recent political realignment in the state, the DPPC Chairman said the movement to the All Progressive Congress (APC), led by Governor Oborevori, was in the best interest of Deltans to also benefit from the national government.
‘’Both The Pointer and the Integrity Group are all out to publicize and disseminate the works of our able Governor’’ Igbine said, just as he urged Deltans to support the MORE Agenda of Governor Oborevwori and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
Earlier, the National Convener of Integrity Group of Nigeria, Dr Idawene pledged collaboration with The Pointer in the propagation of the MORE Agenda, noting that the group has a membership strength of over 130,000 ambassadors.
While congratulating Pastor Igbine on his appointment as the DPPC Chairman, Idawene expressed confidence in his competence to pilot the affairs of the state-owned print media establishment in realising its vision.
Among those who accompanied the national convener of the group to The Pointer include Barr Franca Eke (Executive Assistant on Legal Matters), Collins Ovire (Assistant Media Executive) and Chief Joshua Uturu (ambassador).
