A former National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Chima Faith, has been recognised for her outstanding service and commitment to community development.

She hails from Ubulubu in Aniocha LGA, Delta State. She was one of 210 awardees of the NYSC 2020-2023 combined President’s Honours Award, held at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The ceremony, attended by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mrs Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commended the awardees for their discipline, selflessness, commitment, patriotism, teamwork, and integrity.
She studied Human Physiology at the University of Benin, and was deployed to Plateau State College of Health Technology, Pankshin, where she demonstrated exceptional dedication to her work and community. Her efforts in organising fellow corps members and contributing to various activities in the host community were notable.
One of her significant contributions was sourcing funds to provide 20 desks and chairs for pupils at LGEA Primary School, Kathoi, a rural area in Pankshin Local Government Area.
This initiative which is part of the NYSC Collaborative programme, improved the learning environment for the pupils.

Her commitment to education and community development earned her a State Honour Award from the former Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, in addition to the President’s Honours Award, which includes a cash prize, scholarship, gold medal, and certificate of honour signed by President Tinubu.
