A policeman was reported to have sustained serious injuries during a clash between officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and youths in Essi Layout, Warri, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
According to reports, the incident occurred when NDLEA officials carried out a raid in the area, targeting suspected consumers of illicit drugs. In the process, the policeman was injured by youths who vehemently resisted arrest by the NDLEA.
Efforts by our correspondent to confirm the story from the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Delta State Police Command, Asaba, SP Bright Edafe, were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
