ITSEKIRI Communities, in Warri Federal Constituency, Delta Central Senatorial District and Edo State have been given August 31 deadline to submit three eligible Itsekiri students, who are indigenes of their respective communities, to be included in the final batch of beneficiaries of Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR Itsekiri Students’ Bursary Scheme.
The office of the Sole Representative of the Olu of Warri to NNPCL, in a statement made available to newsmen weekend, in Warri, disclosed that 746 candidates were shortlisted at the close of the application window.
The statement disclosed that in a bid to meet the targeted 1,000 beneficiaries, the application window has been extended to enable more communities nominate eligible Itsekiri students.
The statement listed the eligibility criteria for each candidate as “must be an Itsekiri indigene”, “must be in 200 Level or above” and “must submit admission letter /transcript, alongside any other supporting academic documents.
The statement also advised the communities to crosscheck the current shortlist to avoid resubmitting names of students, who have already been selected.
The target-communities, according to the statement are in Warri South, Warri North, Okpe, Uvwie, Udu, Ethiope East, and Sapele Local Government Areas of Delta State.
Benefitting communities in Edo State are Ikpoba-Okha, Ajamogha, Ajoki, Ologbo and Kolokolo.
