DELTA State Governor, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, immediate past Governor Chief James Omonefe, Sen Ede Dafinone, Sen Ovie Omo-Agege and Sheyi Tinubu, attended the funeral service of late Oskar Ibru at All Saints Cathedral Ughelli to honour the chairman of the Ibru Organization.
Oskar Ibru is the eldest son of a business mogul, late Olorogun Michael Ibru.
Until his death Oskar Ibru, a former Delta State governorship candidate was a great supporter of the incumbent Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
At the funeral service, Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Warri, Rt Rev’d Christian Esezi Ide, assured christians that there is another home for them after death as Christ has prepared many in his Father’s mansion.
He made this known during the church service in honour of late Dr. Oskar Ibru held at the All Saint Cathedral, Iwhreko in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Speaking during the church service, Bishop Esezi in his sermon titled, ‘Another Home in View’ let not your heart be trouble, because Jesus was saying in my father’s house, there is another home and in that home there are many rooms.
“For over 2000 years that Jesus left, He has been preparing this place and we have to believe just as our father, brother uncle believes in God and he didn’t believe in Jesus, we would not have gathered here to go and lay him to rest.
“Today our father, brother and uncle, Olorogun Dr. Oskar Ibru, has left this world and I believed he has gone to be in one of those rooms.
“This leaves a big message for all of us who are running this race, let death be a comfort for all of us that anyone that die in Christ, the tears should be of the hope that there is another home.
“Our father Oskar was present in many funerals, but now it is his turn and it will be our turn one day,he impacted the church during his lifetime.
“I want let us know that it is not everybody that will enter this home.”
