Oborevwori Assures Deltans Of Projects Completion

GOVERNOR Sheriff Oborevwori has assured Deltans, that his administration will complete all ongoing projects in the state within before the end of his tenure.

He gave this assurance during the commissioning of the 31km rehabilitated Bomadi/Ohoro road in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State.

Speaking at the event, Governor Oborevwori said, “As you may have heard, the state council gave approval for the construction of a brand new road from Torugbene with a sub at Ojobo town in Burutu Local Government Area at the total cost of N32.8Bllion.

“There are many roads we have approved and i want to be at the top and for that I don’t play with the riverine communities. We have approved Macaulay/Muturu road in Bomadi local government, internal road in Patani, in Ogulaha, Warri South, Ogbe-Ijaw palace road and many more.

“All our former governors of the state have prayed for me to do better and I want to be at the top and there is nothing wrong if you ask.

“Our administration is committed in ensuring that infrastructural development come to every area of the state regardless of the location of the terrain.

The Bomadi/Ohoro road we are commissioning today is another fine example in project concession,  project delivery and sustainable development in this administration.

Commending the State Governor, Chairman of Bomadi local government council, Hon Dagidi Andaye said, the people of Bomadi were happy to see the presence of a state project that is being commissioned today.

“The last project that was commissioned in Bomadi was the bridge by former President Olusegun Obasanjo over 16 years ago.

“The Ohoro/Bomadi road that is being commissioned is a link to other local government areas and Bayelsa state. It is the only access to Burutu local government by land and some Ughelli South communities.”

The council chairman appealed for the establishment of a state or federal institution as it will boost the economy of people and bring the presence of the government.

“It will interest you to know that Bomadi is headquarters of Western Ijaw nation and we will be very happy if a faculty or a structure of an institution established here.
