NURTW Applauds Odigwe For New Ebu-Owa Motor Park

THE National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Ika North-East Branch A, led by Chief Patrick Okpandu has extended appreciation to the Chairman of Ika North-East Local Government Area, Hon. Monday Odigwe for the successful construction and commissioning of the newly built ultra-modern motor park located at the heart of Ebu-Owa Market.

Chief Okpandu, who also serves as the Delta State Chairman of NURTW, expressed his gratitude to Hon. Odigwe while speaking with journalists. He noted that Hon. Odigwe gave transport workers a true sense of belonging by providing a suitable motor park for their use.

He further praised Hon. Odigwe’s vision and commitment, saying: “This project is truly one of its kind. From the architectural design to the facilities embedded in the park, waiting areas, administrative offices, restrooms, security posts, and loading bays, it reflects a standard that rivals what is found in major cities across the country. We take pride in having this kind of investment in Ika North-East.”

Okpandu also emphasised that establishing the motor park is a significant step towards enhancing mobility, reducing road congestion, and boosting the local economy by facilitating the seamless movement of people and goods.

He noted: “The ease of transportation that this park will bring to Ebu- Owa and its surrounding communities cannot be overstated. It will empower our drivers, promote safety, and stimulate commercial activities in the area.”

The NURTW Ika North- East Branch A Chairman used the opportunity to express profound appreciation to Hon. Monday Odigwe for prioritising the needs of transport workers and the community at large.

“We are indeed inspired by your leadership and development-driven initiatives. You have once again demonstrated that grassroots governance, when entrusted to visionary individuals, can make a real difference,” he remarked.

The newly commissioned Ebu-Owa Market Motor Park, he said, stands as a symbol of progress and unity, designed not only for convenience but also to foster economic prosperity and organised transportation.
