Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), The Pointer Chapel, have extended financial support to one of their members, Mr. Awele Ogbogu, towards his ongoing medical treatment.
The donation was formally presented, today, by the Chapel Chairman, Mr. Godwin Nzemeka, who led the union executives and other members to make the donation. Nzemeka described the support as an expression of solidarity and compassion, noting that the welfare of members remained a core priority of the union. He commended all contributors for responding swiftly to the call for assistance, stressing that such acts of unity strengthen the bond within the chapel.
Union members present also said prayers and expressed wishes for Mr. Ogbogu’s full recovery.
The NUJ Pointer Chapel reaffirmed its commitment to supporting members in times of need and encouraged others to continue fostering a culture of empathy and collective responsibility.
In his remarks, Ogbogu expressed deep appreciation to the Union for their support and their commitment to ensuring he receives quality medical care.
He thanked everyone who stood by him during this difficult period, praying that good health and favour would locate them and their families.
