THE Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) has screened and confirmed the re-appointment of Dr. Pemu Akpufuomu and Prince Mike Oputa as second and third members of the Delta State Civil Service Commission.
The third nominee, Comrade Olumami Oyibo, was stepped down for a later date, Thursday due to observed irregularities in his curriculum vitae.
The continuation of his screening, according to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor would be on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the duo of Pemu Akpufuomu and Prince Mike Oputa were confirmed. Motion for their confirmation was raised by the Majority Leader, Hon. Emeka Nwaobi and unanimously adopted by the House following a voice vote called by the Speaker.
Congratulating them, Guwor enjoined the duo to justify the confidence reposed in them by the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
