The Forum of Ex-Presidents-General of Isoko Communities, Delta State has lauded the state Governor, the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for rendering his stewardship to Deltans.
They described it as a visionary action, transformational leadership, effective financial management prowess, and a firm commitment to human capital development across the state.
in a statement issued by the Chairman of the Forum, Deacon Efedhoma Felix, after its general meeting held at Oleh Civic Center, Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, they noted that the Governor’s score card for the past two years had been very impressive.
Encouraged by his exceptional performance, coupled with his pace-setting initiatives, the forum unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Governor Oborevwori-led administration, calling for all round support by Deltans.
The statement observed that the Governor deserved commendations for executing numerous people-oriented projects both in Isoko land and in all nooks and crannies of the State, adding that “the newly completed Ughelli – Asaba highway, the ongoing construction of the the School of Health Technology, Ovrode, the Enhwe – Uhweru road, the Olomoro-Igbide road and the construction of various buildings at the Southern Delta University, Ozoro, amongst others, are some of the projects that have impacted meaningfully on Isoko people.”
While commending the Governor for the appointment of many Isoko sons and daughters into his administration, the forum, however, implored him not to relent in his efforts at bringing more development to Delta State; and to the Isoko Nation in particular.
Corroborating the Chairman, some members of the Forum, including Chief P. G. Okoroh, Barr. (Chief) B.G.O Ovririe, Engr Clifford Anakpohan and Primate Moses Ogbodogbo urged the governor to consider the pathetic problem of electrification of Isoko land; a major clog in the economic transformation of the people, the construction of the Ellu-Ofagbe-Ada road, abandoned Araya Bible Site road, the second and third phases of Emede ring road, as well as the Oleh-Olomoro-Iyede road, to mention but a few.
In the same vein, they also congratulated all elected Isoko sons led by Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, Hon. Ferguson Onwo, Hon. Bino Obowomano, Hon. Barr Bernard Odior on their two years in office, and the two local government Chairmen, Hon. Elder Prince Godwin Ogorugba, Isoko North, and Comrade Warri Friday Ovoke, Isoko South, praying to God Almighty to bless them all in their consideration of the furtherance of Isoko development.
They fervently wished the Governor the best of luck and God’s guidance in the discharge of his duties and hope to meet with him one on one in the nearest future for further interactions.
