THE Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor has called on the State Command of the Nigerian Police to strengthen collaboration with Sister security agencies in the State towards taming the security challenge
The speaker made the call yesterday in his office during an interface with the State Commissioner of Police, CSP Aina Adesola who was in in his office on courtesy visit.
Addressing the Police boss, Rt. Hon. Guwor assured him of the State legislature’s readiness to support the force towards ensuring the security of lives and property.
The Speaker said, “Here in Delta, we are proud of you because, available record shows that you have what it takes to improve on the existing peace and security of the State.
“On behalf of the State House of Assembly, we welcome you to Delta State .
“We will continue to partner with you in ensuring that Deltans sleep with their two eyes closed
“Meanwhile, we wish to advise that you strengthen collaboration with other security Agencies to ensure that Delta is 100 per cent safe” Guwor advised.
Earlier ,the Police Boss told the Speaker that he was at the Assembly to familiarize himself with the State lawmakers.
Describing Delta as one of the most peaceful states in the country,the new police boss sought the collaboration and support of the State legislature towards sustaining and, improving on the relative peace in the State.
