The Executive Director of Projects on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, has restated his steadfast loyalty and unwavering support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Dr. Okorodudu affirmed “I remain an unrepentant, dependable, and loyal supporter of our Governor. Wherever he goes, I go. My political commitment is absolute, and I hold no other allegiance.”
Dr. Okorodudu made this declaration today when a delegation of Team Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu for Sheriff / Tinubu, led by Mrs Quincy Eruteya Pereotubo paid him a visit at his office in DESOPADEC head office in Warri.
Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu commended the group for their prayers and support before, during and after the 2023 election to get victory for governor Sheriff Oborevwori
‘’I am immensely grateful to the four formidable support groups that have stood by me—and by extension, by our principal, the Right Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori—throughout the 2023 political journey.
‘’Among these are the Agbor Political Associates of Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu for Sheriff/Tinubu, the New Delta National League, Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu Support Group for Sheriff for Governor and President Tinubu and Team Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu for Sheriff/Tinubu each made up of large, dynamic, and highly organized membership structures.’’
‘’During the electioneering period, you all distinguished yourselves through mobilization to ensuring massive voters turnout. Your support wasn’t just political, you prayed fervently for our collective victory, and to the glory of God, our efforts were rewarded. Today, Sheriff Oborevwori serves as the Executive Governor of Delta State.
‘’When I was appointed to the board of Pointer Newspaper, you rallied around me with unflinching support. Through your prayers and support, I was once again elevated to another position of responsibility in DESOPADEC. I do not take your support for granted.
I have consistently ensured that whatever little I have is shared among the four groups, especially through monthly assistance that trickles down to all.
We are just beginning this journey. I believe God will provide more opportunities for me to extend tangible benefits to you—so that none among you will ever regret standing with me and supporting my boss, the Rt Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori.
Speaking on the defection from PDP to APC, Dr. Okorodudu described the APC as a strong platform that would bring greater benefits to the people. “That with the merger APC is now stronger than ever before. There will be less crisis and more unity. We believe this is the right step forward.”
He also praised the Governor for his developmental achievements over the past two years. “From Ughelli to Asaba now takes only One hour and few minutes instead of hours. Roads and bridges are been constructed and repaired across Warri and other local government areas. What we’re seeing is real progress,” he added.
He noted that Deltans can now expect to get more support from Abuja. “Before now, we were limited in our sphere of operation and influence. But now we are part of the ruling party. This means more opportunities for our people.”
He said the merger would also reduce violence during elections. “Elections used to be full of fear and violence. But with this unity between PDP and APC members, we expect future elections to be peaceful.”
The Secretary of the group, Mrs. Ejiro Emiko, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Okorodudu for his unwavering support both during and after the elections.
Mrs. Emiko described Dr. Okorodudu as a rare kind of political leader who remains committed to his supporters beyond the election period.
“Our leader and president, Dr. Okorodudu, has been exceptionally good to us—even before the emergence of the current administration under Governor Sheriff,” she said.
Mrs. Emiko noted that while many politicians tend to abandon their supporters after securing their positions, Dr. Okorodudu has continued to show care and commitment.
“There are politicians who forget those who stood by them once they assume office. But our leader, our father, and our helper has remained loyal and generous. We are here today to express our deep gratitude to him,” she said.
The event took a lively turn as members of the group broke into a special song dedicated to Dr. Okorodudu, as a token of appreciation for his leadership and support. “We just want to say thank you, sir, in the most heartfelt way,” she concluded.
“The highlight of the visit was the presentation of an Award of Excellence to Chief Ebenezer Okorodudu by the leader of the group, Mrs Quincy Eruteya Pereotubo, in recognition of his great contribution and empowerment of Team Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu women.
