HERITAGE Energy Operational Services Limited, operator of Oil Mining Lease (OML) 30, has stressed the need for stakeholders, especially developers to attend its Townhall Meeting on the Right of Way (ROW) of OML 30 Oil and Gas Pipelines, scheduled to hold in Ughelli on December 6.
The Pointer reports that Heritage staff were present at a townhall meeting in respect of the same subject-matter at Ishaka Hotel, Warri on Saturday, November 22, but the developers except for one or two persons, failed to turn up for the event.
According to Mr. Victor Orugbo, Pipeline Superintendent of Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited- OML 30, the stakeholders should come out and talk, as this is the reason for convening the townhall meeting.
Orugbo said letters of contravention had been served and that the stakeholders meeting in Warri was supposed to be the next phase, but since the turnout was entirely unexpected, he encouraged all developers to attend the next townhall meeting taking place in Ughelli on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
He said there was enough publicity ahead of the event last Saturday at Ishaka Hotel, Warri and wondered why the developers failed to attend. Orugbo said the upcoming phase in Ughelli presents another opportunity for developers and all other stakeholders to air their views.
Others in the Heritage team included Anderson Oviemaigho, Patrick Oghenero, Ubu Efemena, Yusuf Saibu, Azuma Cookey, Inana Akpomena and Ochuko Egboduku.
Staff of NUPRC present were Ado T.Z and Karaye T.B. Developers present included Anthony Azeta (Ugbomro Pipeline), Newworld and Chief Ese Emuedo.
