The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor has emphasised the need for collective effort in building a stronger Delta State by harnessing individual and shared talents.
This was contained in his goodwill message at the public launch of the second edition of the compendium 200 Most Outstanding Deltans, held in Asaba, the state capital.
Represented by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr Nkem Nwaeke, Rt. Hon. Guwor, who also serves as the National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, commended the initiative, describing it as a source of inspiration for both present and future generations.
According to him, the Eighth Assembly under his leadership will continue to support initiatives that uplift the people, preserve history, and promote excellence across all spheres of life.
He said: “I strongly believe that today’s event marks not only a celebration of individual excellence but also a powerful affirmation of Delta State’s rich reservoir of talent, vision, leadership, and accomplishment.
‘’The Delta State House of Assembly commends the organisers of this historic work for recognising the value of celebrating our heroes. By shining a spotlight on these 200 exceptional Deltans, you have provided a source of inspiration for current and future generations.
‘’Their stories will always serve as motivation, demonstrating what can be achieved through hard work, resilience, passion, and commitment, thereby fostering a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
“Delta State is blessed with immense potential, and it is heartening to see individuals harnessing their talents to drive progress. As we launch this compendium, I urge all Deltans to draw inspiration from these stories of excellence.
