AN unidentified girl was murdered at a Guest House along airport road in Warri, Delta State.
The incident occurred last week but it was revealed yesterday morning.
It was learnt that the girl was taken to the guest house by a man, who lodged her overnight.
It was also gathered that the said man, whose name is yet to be released by the police, allegedly blindfolded the girl and murdered her before he left the guest house.
Since the date of the incident no one has identified the girl and her family members are yet to be located.
However, policemen from “B” Division in Warri have arrested three suspects in connection with the incident.
When contacted for comments, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe confirmed the report in a WhatsApp message sent to newsmen.
The police image maker said, “Confirmed. Three suspects in custody.”
Human Right activist, Comrade Israel Joe called on members of the public who have anyone missing to come forward and identify if the murdered girl is their relative.
He commended the DPO for a job well done, saying, “The matter is being investigated”.
Comrade Joe added that the guest house should be temporarily shut down. “A human being was killed in their business place,” he noted. Joe also warned young girls to stop going out without informing their loved ones about their destination.
“It is dangerous and not good for you and your family. Many have been killed like this through anyhow movements,” the activist said.
