IN spite of the ongoing multi billion naira flyover project in Enerhen Junction, Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area, the area still bubbles with social economic activities side by side with the project as at the time of filing this report.
Most Sundays, when the contractors handling the project are less busy at site, canopies are usually erected by desperate food vendors under the uncompleted flyover project.
At night, the area is another World, as almost all the areas were used for economic and social activities mostly at weekends with the presence of under aged female sex hawkers who are ready to do business in the area, more so with the absence of the contractors handing the flyover projects.
Meanwhile the on going flyover projects is gradually taken shape with signs of quality as at the time of filing this report.
Those who spoke to our correspondent were full of praises for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori embarking on the project.
One of them Alex Osuj, i an indigene of Anambra State but resides in the nearby Agbala Street, gave Governor Oborevwori a pat on the back for embarking on the project.
Osuji suggested that the project when completed should be named after Governor Oborevwori in order to immortalise him. “ We have others who hail from this area who governed Delta State but did not take the bold positive initiative of embarking on such a land mark project in Enerhen Junction one of the most popular areas in the entire state.
“ So Governor Oborevwori ‘ s name should be immortalized with the Enerhen Flyover.’’
Another respondent, Clifford Ogbeifo an Edo State indigene, who resides in the nearby 3rd Marine Gate Street spoke in the same vein as he expressed optimism that the project when completed will give the area a face lift.
