Mr. Omordia revealed that the company has begun the conversion of more than 7,000 vehicles in the state to run on CNG free. This achievement, he noted, marks a pivotal moment not only for the company but also for Nigeria’s broader clean energy transition.

According to him, the initiative is not just about vehicle conversion, but about setting the foundation for a long-term commitment to energy diversification and environmental sustainability.

“With this development, Electra Motors has firmly positioned itself at the forefront of Nigeria’s green mobility revolution, sending a clear signal that the future of transport is no longer on the horizon — it is here, and it runs on clean, efficient energy, ” he said.

Similarly, the Delta State Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Onoriode Agofure, described the initiative as a hope for commercial drivers, fleet owners, and everyday commuters, offering them a chance to cut fuel costs, reduce emissions, and extend the lifespan of their vehicles.

Agofure applauded the leadership of Electra Motors for their bold vision in choosing Delta as the birthplace of what would be a national model for clean energy mobility, as he stated that the government is proud to witness the state take a frontline position in supporting Nigeria’s energy transition through the Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNGI).

He added that the state has assured its full support in facilitating collaborations and ensuring the safety and standard of all CNG-converted vehicles on the State roads, while revealing that the state government is making plans to train over 10,000 youths in CNG conversion to create employment opportunities for them.
