Efekodha Denies Hijacking Surveillance Slots Of Isoko Community

BY JOEL GRANDBALL

The coordinator of Tantita Security Services Limited in Enwhe community, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Prince Larry Efekodha, has denied the allegations that he hijacked the surveillance slots allocated to the community.

He made this known while denying an allegation of financial recklessness and surveillance slots racketeering.

In a petition signed by Comrade Uzuazor Simon, Prince Eduvie Efekodha was accused of alleged diversion of Tantita Security Management Surveillance slots and funds meant for the community.

The petition further alleged that the indigenous people of Enwhe were deliberately deprived and marginalised of qualified and credible indigenes of Enwhe in matters relating to decision-making. “It is on this basis that we openly condemn the alleged actions of Prince Larry Eduvie Efekodha, who has used his political influence to allocate all Tantita Security Management Surveillance slots to himself and his chosen individuals.

Denying the allegations, Prince Larry Eduvie Efekodha said, “I want to state it categorically clear that I never allocated to my friends to make up the personnel of Tantita. “As the coordinator of Tantita Security Services Limited, Enhwe unit, we have zero tolerance for illegality and oil theft because the people we engaged in the surveillance Job are selected men of integrity, and they are all indigene of Enhwe. “On the allegations of slot allocation, it is not my duty to allocate a slot nor employ anyone, but it is the company’s prerogative to employ, and the job is secure.

‘’I want to make clear that those that we fought against in terms of these illegal bunkering activities were armed with sophisticated weapons to engage us while we were destroying their illegal refineries. “At some time, they attacked and molested some of our workers, and they are still making serious advances, but we have been able to chase them from the pipeline.

“When we talk about surveillance jobs, it is covert operations where signal intelligence is deployed, and our strategic method is very unique to Tantita Security Services, and it is one of the best in the world.

‘’As I speak with you, pipeline pilfering activities in Enhwe are zero per cent because our personnel are amongst the qualified persons in the community, and as a result, no single barrel of oil has been pilfered away.

“All relevant stakeholders in the community that ought to be aware of the operationalisation of our strategies are being carried along, and they are happy.

“The persons who wrote that petition are not personnel of Tantita Security Services, nor stakeholders in the community to demand accountability.

“It will interest you to know that while we were fighting for this job, some of them were on the coast, but today they want to reap where they did not sow.

“Before Tantita came in, over 4,000 barrels of oil were being stolen daily, and through our efforts and with the help of the military, we were able to dey over 20 points.

“In recognition of our job, the youth body of Enhwe passed a vote of confidence on me as the Coordinator and our personnel, and we will continue to put in our best to protect the pipeline from oil theft.

“I want to commend the management of Tantita for believing in us, and we promise to continually protect and guide the pipeline to boost the national economy of our dear nation.”
