THE Delta State Government has embarked on the rehabilitation of the deplorable Sokoh Estate Road from the Idjakpa Road axis Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
Staff of the contracting firm were seen working on site when our correspondent visited the area.
Some residents and commuters, particularly commercial tricycle (keke) riders who spoke to our correspondent expressed delight over the development.
A resident of the area, Madam Veronica Okodeso stated that it has been the desire of residents of the area for the road to be rehabilitated.
Another respondent, Clifford Arigbe, a commercial tricycle rider, spoke in the same vein on behalf of his fellow keke riders.
He also expressed joy for the inclusion of construction of gutters by the side of ongoing road rehabilitation project as he noted that it will make the rehabilitated road durable.
