THE Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) has announced a seven-man anniversary planning committee for its forth coming second anniversary of the Eight Assembly.
As announced by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor during yesterday’s plenary, the committee has Hon. James Augoye, member representing Okpe State Constituency as Chairman.
Vice Chairman of the committee, according to Rt. Hon. Guwor is the member representing Warri-South 1 State Constituency, Hon. Augustine Uroye.
Also, the committee has Hon. Emmanuel Sinebe, Hon. Odior Bernard, Hon.Emeka Osamuta, Hon. Bridget Anyafulu, Hon. Matthew Omonade as members while Clerk of the House, Mr. Otto Aghoghophia would serve as Secretary.
The Committee, the Speaker hinted is charged with the responsibility of organizing the activities to mark the second anniversary of the 8th Assembly.
Also at the resumed plenary, the House received letter from the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on a Bill for a law to repeal the College of Education, Warri Law, 2008 and the Delta State College of Education, Mosogar, Law 2016.
The bill, according to the State Governor, seeks to enact the Delta State Colleges of Education Law, 2025 to provide for a uniform system of operation for the State Colleges of Education and for other related matters.
