BY CHIKA KWAMBA

The Delta Printing and Publishing Corporation (DPPC), publishers of The Pointer Newspapers, has commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his commitment to good governance and the equitable distribution of democracy dividends in Delta State.

In a statement issued by the Board of Directors, the Corporation passed a vote of confidence on the Governor, lauding his infrastructural and human capital development initiatives since assuming office two years ago.

The Board praised his prudent management of resources, noting his achievements were recorded without recourse to borrowing, even as he has made appreciable efforts in reducing the debt profile of the state.

The Board further hailed the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, for strengthening the state’s information architecture.

They noted his pivotal role in repositioning The Pointer and other state-owned media to effectively project the achievements of the Oborevwori’s administration.

Commendation was also extended to the Chairman of the DPPC Board, Pastor Austin Igbine, for his strategic leadership and alignment with the Governor’s MORE Agenda.

The Board also expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Corporation’s General Manager, Mrs Rosemary Nwaebuni, acknowledging her visionary leadership, impactful policies, and commitment to propagating the policies, programmes, and projects of Governor Oborevwori.

They noted that under her stewardship in the last six months, The Pointer has experienced a remarkable transformation, further solidifying its place as the newspaper of choice for Deltans.
