- As Over 100 Widows Are To Be Empowered

The wife of Delta State Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, is to be honoured with an award of excellence by an Ogwashi-Uku-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Hope for Widows and Needy Organization.
The NGO is powered by Christ Power International Christian Outreach.
Also to be honoured is the Delta State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, Princess Pat Ajidua, wife of the Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government, Mrs. Ella Chukwunwike and the wife of the Senator representing Delta North in the red chamber, Mrs. Regina Nwoko.
A statement made available to our correspondent in Ogwashi-Uku and signed by the Chairman Board of Trustees, Rev. Joseph Okonji and the secretary of the NGO, Mrs. Caroline Ebunlowo-Nwandu says the event is put together to alleviate the suffering of the widows in the locality
The statement adds that over 100 widows will also be empowered at the event which is scheduled to hold on 25th of September, 2025 at the Event Center in Ogwashi-Uku metropolis.
The statement further called on corporate organizations, well meaning individuals an philanthropic groups to donate generously to the NGO in its bid to put smiles on widows, especially at this period of economic downturn.
