Delta North APC Women Leaders Reaffirm Commitment To Party Growth

By Julian Ojebor

THE Delta North Women Leaders of the All-Progressives Congress (APC)  have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the party’s base across the district, with a renewed call for unity, grassroots mobilization, and active political participation among women.

The women made their position known during an enlarged meeting of APC women leaders in Delta North, held weekend, at Stevenson Hotel, Agbor.

In Agbor, the Delta North APC Woman Leader, Chief (Mrs.) Onyeisi Ochei, emphasized the need for loyalty and steadfastness. “Women are the heartbeat of the party structure. Without our strength and consistency, the APC cannot truly thrive in Delta North. We must remain committed and ensure that our wards and units feel our presence,” she said.

Chief (Mrs) Ochei added that the meeting was designed to build collaboration among women leaders across the senatorial district. “This platform is not just for discussions but for action. We must work together as one body to reposition our party and secure victory in future elections,” she noted.

Also addressing the gathering , the Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Hon. (Engr.) Doris Uboh, lauded the women for their resilience and commitment. She said, “You are the backbone of our politics. The future of APC in Delta North depends on your strength and dedication. I urge you to redouble your efforts in grassroots mobilization, because it is at that level that elections are truly won.”

Hon. Uboh further stressed the importance of solidarity among the women leaders. “Unity is our strongest weapon. When we speak with one voice, our impact is multiplied. Let us not allow distractions to weaken us. Instead, let us channel our energy into building a stronger APC,” she charged.

Representing the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, at the meeting, Chief Edwin Uzor conveyed the deputy governor’s goodwill message to the women leaders. “The Deputy Governor appreciates your loyalty and recognizes your contributions to political development in our state. He assures you that your voices and sacrifices are not overlooked. Together, with your support, we can continue to strengthen our party and our democracy,” Uzor stated.

The engagements, which brought together APC women leaders from across Delta North, provided a forum for renewed commitment, exchange of ideas, and strategic planning. Discussions centered on political education, unity, grassroots engagement, and measures to reposition the APC as a formidable force in Delta State.
