The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its congratulations to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, following the successful commissioning of several major infrastructural and developmental projects spread across the state.
In a statement made available to newsmens, the State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Valentine Onojeghuo, Esq., praised Governor Oborevwori for what he described as a “bold and deliberate stride towards achieving transformational urban renewal,” noting that the Governor has continued to “match words with action” under the framework of his administration’s M.O.R.E. Agenda.
He listed the projects commissioned to include, eight fully furnished four-bedroom duplexes at the state Commissioner’s quarters, designed to serve as residential houses for state commissioners, the complete overhaul and equipping of Warri Central Hospital with state-of-the-art medical equipment, and the reconstruction and expansion of the Lower and Upper Erejuwa Roads in Warri, which form part of a broader state-wide effort to enhance infrastructure, boost connectivity, and improve public services. “Today, we are not just witnessing the opening of projects—we are witnessing the fulfillment of promises,” Onojeghuo told newsmen. “The completion of the commissioners’ quarters is a commendable initiative that enhances the dignity and efficiency of governance. Likewise, the revamp of Warri Central Hospital demonstrates this administration’s responsiveness to the healthcare needs of Deltans.
“The 8-unit commissioners’ quarters are expected to provide secure, comfortable accommodation for members of the State Executive Council, thereby improving the efficiency of governmental operations. Similarly, the upgraded Warri Central Hospital now boasts modern medical diagnostic and treatment tools, reinforcing its role as a regional healthcare hub for Warri and its environs.
“Equally impactful is the full rehabilitation and expansion of the Lower and Upper Erejuwa Roads, which serve as vital commercial arteries within Warri. The newly modernized roads feature upgraded drainage systems, streetlights, and pedestrian walkways aimed at easing mobility, reducing travel time, and encouraging economic activities in the city.”
Onojeghuo stressed that Governor Oborevwori’s approach reflects a deep-seated commitment to responsible governance and transformative leadership: “We can see what His Excellency Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori is doing is laudable and deserves recognition. He is, indeed, a promise-keeper, and his efforts so far reflect a clear commitment to inclusive governance and infrastructural rebirth of our dear State.”
He called on all Deltans to rally behind the Oborevwori administration to ensure the continuity and sustainability of developmental projects across the state: “The Governor’s agenda aligns with the collective aspirations of our people. We therefore urge every Deltan, regardless of political affiliation, to support this administration in the interest of progress, unity and prosperity,” Onojeghuo stated.
