PROMISED Kingdom Ministries (aka), Overflow Chapel, Sapele, has held 25th National Convention/thanksgiving Service as the Founder and General Overseer, His Royal Eminence, Archbishop Godday Iboyi, called on Christians to live a righteous and obedient life in order to attract prosperity from God.
Archbishop Iboyi stated this during the recent National Convention/thanksgiving Service of Promised Kingdom Ministry,Inc Worldwide, tagged “Righteousness.”
Speaking in his sermon titled: “What is expected of us by God after the convention part 2,” the Spiritual Father of Okpe Kingdom, highlighted three basic points Christians must obey to receive God’s blessings as “total obedience to God and church authority, living the life of a sheep, and putting on godly conduct and behaviour.”
He explained that believers must submit to the will of God Almighty while insisting that the church of God must lay more emphasis on salvation messages to bring more souls to the kingdom of God.
“The church doesn’t need prosperity messages anymore but the message of salvation. It is obedience that brings prosperity from God,” he said.
In a chat with pressmen after the thanksgiving service, Archbishop Iboyi expressed gratitude to God for sustaining the ministry for 25 years, describing how God has been using him to propagate the gospel of Christ, “since year 2000 God has been building us and still building us.”
“For 25 years, it has been God all through. Over 100 ministers were ordained as reverend, pastors, evangelist’s, deacons and deaconess all over Africa because our mandate is to populate the kingdom of God and depopulate the kingdom of hell.”
He also urged believers to be patient, humble before God, and always preach the gospel of the kingdom, “Tell the people what God wants them to hear,”
