Chinye Empowers 40 Aniocha North Youths In Skills Acquisition

In line with efforts to rebuild Aniocha North, the Chairman, Hon. Emma Chinye, in collaboration with Mosra Energy Limited has empowered 40 youths in different skills in Issele Uku.

The empowerment was designed as part of social corporate responsibility of Mosra Energy Limited which listed 40 beneficiaries that went through skills training and got starter packs, including cash.

Speaking at the event, Chinye disclosed that the empowerment was a collective effort to empower the youths as fulfilment of his campaign promises and to better the lives of youths across the council area.

He said that the starter packs were significant in empowering the youths in catering services, electrical installation, fashion design, hair dressing and make up packs and cash to rent shops.

Chinye encouraged the beneficiaries not to sell their starter packs, adding that more youths would benefit in subsequent years, while admonishing them to use the facilities judiciously so as to become employers of labour.

He noted that a monitoring team has been set up to check on them, urging them to utilize the opportunity, while appealing for more partnership from well-meaning sons and daughters of the area.

Meanwhile, the representative of the Managing Director of Mosra Energy Limited, Mr. Ahmed Ali, said that the company is committed to creating a robust environment for the host communities, while he urged the beneficiaries to contribute positively to the betterment of their communities.

She urged her colleagues not to sell their starter packs as it is a life time settlement and promised that they would use the facilities judiciously and enhance their living standards.
