The Delta state police command has arrested the suspected killers of Justice Ifeoma Okogwu (rtd).
According to a statement issued by the state command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, operatives of the Homicide Section of the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) acting on credible intelligence has arrested one Godwin Mngumi at Anaku in Ayamelum Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State, on Saturday.
The 25-year old worked as the security guard for the murdered justice and is alleged to be the main suspect in the case, with the phone of the late justice recovered from him.
The statement also revealed that Mngumi has confessed to inviting a close friend, one Nnaji Obalum and another friend to the home of Justice Okogwu, where they carried out the dastardly act together. While Obalum has been arrested, a manhunt is still ongoing for the third suspect.
