APC Udu Ward 9 Holds Familiarisation Meeting, Passes Vote Of Confidence On Tinubu, Oborevwori

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 9 (Orhuwhorun), Udu Local Government Area of Delta State has convened a familiarisation meeting to unite old and new party members and also passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The event, which highlighted a renewed spirit within the party, took place last Sunday and provided a platform for members to establish connections and consolidate their political strategies.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the APC, Udu Local Government Area Ward 9, Mr. Owhode Tokpaberire expressed delight at the turnout and the unity demonstrated among party members.

He noted that since the mass defection of former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, there had been a stark absence of opportunities for existing and new members to engage in person.

Tokpaberire emphasized the importance of the meeting as a means for members to familiarize themselves with one another, fostering camaraderie and unity.

Hon. Peter Uviejitibor, the Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, played a pivotal role during the meeting, moving a motion for a vote of confidence in President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori.

Uviejitibor’s address detailed the administration’s numerous achievements, including transformative policies aimed at uplifting the state’s infrastructural landscape and improving public welfare.

He praised Tinubu’s leadership and vision for the nation, calling on party members to rally behind the president as he continues to steer Nigeria toward progress.

The motion was seconded by Hon. Saturday Mofoye, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters.

Mofoye reiterated the substantial impact that both leaders have on the citizens of Nigeria, particularly in areas of economic growth and community development.

His endorsement served to invigorate the enthusiasm of party members present, underscoring their commitment to the APC’s objectives in Udu LGA Ward 9.
