LEADERS of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ika North East Local Government Area, led by Prince Iyke Mordi, have paid a courtesy visit to the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Ned Nwoko at his country home in Idumuje – Ugboko.
The visit was aimed at resolving internal party dispute within the party and also to strengthen collaboration among party members.
Members of the delegation include, Hon. Obi Monye, Mr Sunny Onyejose, Chief Alex Ikpeazu, Mrs. Anthonia Ozioma Odafe (President of Delta North Women Forum), Chief (Barr.) Ifeanyi Agholor, Prince Iyke Mordi, Mr. Ikechukwu Bello, Barr. Stanley Mbulu, Hon. (Comr.) Bright Ogbeje, Chief Agwaife Mr Anthony Osu, as well as Mr. Ekene Samuel, Chairman of APC Ika North East Chapter
Speaking during the meeting, the leaders expressed concerns that the people of Ika North East had not been fully carried along in party affairs.
They emphasized that the need for inclusivity and fair representation in party leadership has become necessary for the members in the Constituency.
In his response, Senator Ned Nwoko, acknowledged their concerns and explained that he had already engaged with other Delta North APC leaders on similar matters.
He called for unity and urged members to set aside divisions in the interest of the party’s progress.
Senator Nwoko further emphasized that empowerment programmes must reach the grassroots, assuring the delegation of his commitment to total inclusivity and equitable development.
He also reiterated that the struggle for the creation of Anioma State has been a long-standing vision requiring collective support across all political lines.
