APC Ika South Ward 6 Hosts First 2025 Meeting

THE All Progressives Congress (APC), Ward 6, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, held its maiden meeting for the year recently, at the party’s secretariat in Alihame.

The meeting marked a significant milestone as leaders and members gathered to officially receive new members from the Delta Unity Group, who recently decamped to the party.

The gathering reflected the growing momentum and unity within the ward as APC gears up to consolidate its strength ahead of the 2027 elections. With renewed energy and a clear vision, the party reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its grassroots support. The ward’s secretariat remains open to all, with ongoing membership registration.

In his address, the ward Chairman, Mr. Nduka Erikume, expressed gratitude for the impressive turnout, stating, “Your commitment is a testament to the political wave sweeping through our state. We’ve worked hard, and the results are evident. We are now the dominant political force. Let us continue to remain open, united, and focused on our common goal.”

He urged members to embrace peace and unity: “We must avoid quarrels and embrace new members with open arms. Our secretariat is always open for registration. Let’s keep our eyes on the party’s objectives. We’ve started winning and we’ll keep winning.”

Also, addressing the gathering, Mrs. Ogor Obuh,  praised the resilience and efforts of the APC members in Ward 6, attributing her decision to join the party to divine direction.

“You’ve built something great from the ground up. I was led by God to join APC. Stand firm, others are coming to join you. The Governor has made it clear: there is no PDP anymore. We are now one united front, and change is coming in our favour.”

Chief Dr. Phillip Onyekpe, another prominent decampee, stated unequivocally that his exit from PDP was driven by issues of imposition and intimidation.

“We’re not here in APC to seek positions, but to win and liberate our people from oppression and marginalization. This is not a one-man show. Be steadfast, be strategic, and bring in members ,who are loyal and committed to the cause.”
